Stopby
Reminders that arrive when you do.
Reminders tied to the places you already go, not to a clock. Arrive at your pharmacy and "collect your script" is waiting on your lock screen — and your location never leaves your phone.
What it does
Fires where you can act on it
A reminder shows up the moment you arrive at the right kind of place — not at a time when you can't do anything about it.
One reminder, every matching place
Tag your places — pharmacy, mall, bank, school — and attach a reminder to the tag. It fires at whichever of them you reach first.
Your own short list, not the whole map
You save the few places that matter to you. That keeps it accurate, quiet, and easy on your battery.
Location that never leaves your phone
Arrival detection runs on your phone's own operating system. There is no location history, and your whereabouts are never sent anywhere.
Nearly-home heads-up
Set a home base and get one gentle reminder of anything still open on your way in.
Works with the app closed
Arrival monitoring keeps running in the background, even without a mobile signal at the moment you arrive.
Save as many places as you like
Go beyond the five free places — every pharmacy, school and shop you use can be on your list.
Your own categories
Make tags that fit your life, not just the built-in pharmacy, mall and bank.
Time windows
Only remind me on weekdays, or only between 8am and 5pm — reminders that fit when you can actually act.
Free during launch
Stopby is free during launch, with every feature included. Some features will later move to an optional Stopby Pro subscription — early users keep them free for a while after that. When Stopby Pro arrives, this is how it will split:
| Free | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Saved places | 5 | As many as you like |
| Reminders | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Arrival and nearly-home reminders | ✓ | ✓ |
| Your own categories | — | ✓ |
| Time windows (days and hours) | — | ✓ |
Stopby has not launched yet, so these limits may change before it does. Your home base never counts towards the five free places.
Most reminder apps nag you on a schedule — at a moment when you can’t do anything about it. Stopby is tied to place instead. Save the handful of places you actually go, tag them, and attach a reminder to the tag. Walk into any pharmacy on your list and “collect your script” is right there on your lock screen.
It is deliberately not a “find anything nearby” app. You keep your own short list, which is what keeps it accurate, quiet and easy on your battery — and the detection of where you are happens entirely on your phone.
